Rackspace is looking for a Channel Field Marketing Manager to join our team. As a Channel Field Marketing Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to sales and partner managers by enabling Rackspace to connect with target buyers through strategic marketing activities that help create opportunities, accelerate pipeline and grow customer & partner relationships.

The ideal candidate is great at thinking analytically and strategically, while bringing creativity and channel field marketing domain experience to their work. In this role, you will communicate our marketing initiatives clearly and consistently to sellers and partner managers, build strong relationships and serve as a trusted advisor. The Channel Field Marketing Manager must be comfortable in an environment of constant change and able to act and make smart decisions with limited information. An FMM must be able to take risks and develop creative marketing programs to drive partner interest and demand.

Our Channel Field Marketing Manager (FMMs/Field Marketing Managers) are responsible for planning, delivering, monitoring, and enhancing marketing programs in line with business objectives. Translating go-to-market strategies and identified opportunities into actionable and measurable marketing programs for sales. In this role, you will ensure campaigns are executed on-time, accurately, and successfully with measurable KPIs. FMMs generate excitement across supported teams for marketing events & campaigns. This role is a customer and partner facing role which requires expert communication skills. FMMs work across every sales segment and at every level of the business. FMMs must be able to clearly articulate Rackspace’s value proposition as well as solutions at a high level.

In this role you will:

  • Own and manage a single source of truth for all announcements, activities, and budget (anything that is relevant for managing channel partners) clearly prioritized and updated to enable partner managers to know what’s most important and what actions they need to take.
  • Expertly understand the strategies and tactics that work well across channel partners, to advise partner managers how to use marketing activities to grow and accelerate their pipeline and business.
  • Conduct ongoing marketing planning and review with channel leaders and partner managers.
  • Assist channel in targeting the right partners for events, activities, and CSC engagements based on customer/partner need and type of event or activity, hold sales accountable for event & activity commitments.
  • Provide ongoing reporting to sales leaders to track lead follow up as well as show results of ongoing lead programs, sales plays, and events.
  • Serve as the voice of sales and customers/partners back into marketing and the ELT to continuously improve our marketing initiatives and share best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field required.
  • At least 7 years of experience with channel marketing programs required.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM and marketing automation systems such as and Marketo.
  • Strong knowledge of, and the ability to apply, the principles of market segmentation, brand management, marketing communications, and database marketing.
  • Outstanding written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to speak publicly to both small and large groups.
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive relationships with team members.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
